Thanksgiving

Once again I've been meaning to update my Blog for a while..  I've been meaning to do a lot of things lately, however, my bosses - A.K.A. Kyle, Isabella, Savannah & Sebastian - haven't been giving me too much "free" time these days..!

In all honesty I completely forgot how much laundry one tiny baby can create on an hourly basis.  Yes, you read that right.  I said hourly.  From diaper malfunctions to feeding mishaps, this little boy can create an entire load of laundry in less than 60 minutes flat!  There was a time, not so long ago, when I would only use the dryer on rare occasions.  For the most part I would hang up the clothes.  Those days seem long gone now, though!  I'd never be able to maintain control over the "bottom-less" laundry baskets if I didn't utilize the dryer!

My sister Sandy and her family came to visit over Thanksgiving, which was very nice!  Much to my kids delight, their cousin Eli spent a night with us.  The kids had a blast playing together, eating pizza and watching the Ninja Turtles movie.. and were quite sad when their sleepover ended!!  But they got to spend another full day together over at my Dad's as we feasted on a rather large Thanksgiving spread!  The table was decorated with all sorts of delicious foods and desserts; I spent a lot of time in my kitchen the day before making pies - banana cream, blueberry and cherry.  Sandy baked a couple of yummy apple pies and Dad whipped up his infamous cherry cheesecake - one of Jim's favorites!  Our Thanksgiving meal consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean salad, stuffing, lasagna, cranberries and homemade Italian bread..a mouthwatering feast indeed!!  Unlike Savannah when she was a baby, Sebastian doesn't seem to mind large, noisy crowds.  He slept peacefully through much of the chaos..
I really love going over to my Dad's on Thanksgiving.  It's always been his most favorite holiday to host!  This year was exceptionally special because all of my sisters, brother-in-law's and kids were able to be there at the same time!  The house was full of laughter and craziness...and I'm fairly certain my Dad wouldn't have wanted it any other way!
