It's been a quiet week in the housing department! We haven't had any inquiries on our house. I still haven't given Patty the green light to host an Open House here yet because there aren't any houses that we're interested in looking at. Jim found one over in North Dighton, but it needs a $15,000 septic system. No thanks. We immediately crossed it off the list without even bothering to go look at it.
In early June we are going to rearrange this house a little bit better to suite our growing needs. We were going to do it a couple of months ago but then we listed the house and I decided it wouldn't be worth the effort to change things around. With the housing market not looking too promising, I'm thinking that we'll probably be here for a while longer, therefore we might as well make things more comfortable for ourselves around here! And I'd like to do it before the hot weather gets here and we lose motivation altogether. So our game plan is that once we find out the gender of the baby, which should hopefully happen at my next ultrasound (which should be scheduled at the end of this month), we will move Savannah in with Isabella. We will turn Savannah's room into the Nursery. The walls in there are already painted a neutral-green, so we don't need to do much work in there at all. I'll buy some wall stickers for decorations and we'll move the baby stuff up there. We'll turn the current Nursery into an informal dining room. That room will require quite a bit of work, as it's been the Nursery since we moved in. Once it's transformed into a dining room, we'll move the kitchen table and chairs into it, which will really open up the kitchen..which is what needs to be done. We are WAY too cramped in that tiny room now.
