And Then There Was Light..

This weekend Jim, Papa Joe & helper Kyle tackled the tedious, time consuming job of installing all of the electrical wiring upstairs. By 8p Saturday night Jim was about as frusterated as I've ever seen him. Threading wires through a tiny hole in the floor upstairs down to the basement fuse box was no easy task!

This would be Jim's frusterated look:

Kyle was very excited to try out his new Home Depot apron that Papa Joe brought over for him this morning:

Delila loves to observe everyone hard at work, kind of like me :)

The first of MANY switch boxes gets installed:

Kyle enjoyed hunting for nails to put into his apron, making the clean up process a bit easier for all:

Here are a few pictures of Kyle helping out:

Here's Jim watching his Dad do some wiring:

Kyle takes a break for a mid morning snack:

Waiting patiently to help drill some stuff:

Jimbo hard at work:

It's easy to see where Jim gets his love & patience from. Papa Joe never gets frusterated with Kyle always being underfoot! Here he's seen helping Kyle drill some outlets into the wall:

Up goes the vents:

Talk about back breaking work!!

Kyle takes a break for another snack:

He helped out a lot today!

Friday: 2 trips to Home Depot
Saturday: 3 trips to Lowes
Sunday: 3 trips to Home Depot, 1 trip to Lowes
Sunday night, 8p: Let there be light! We now have power upstairs!! All of the many outlets & switches have been installed, as well as all of the smoke detectors. (State law requires us to have all of the smoke detectors hard wired into the house)

It may not look like much just yet...but it's definately looking more & more like a room every day!!!
No matter how exhausted Jim may feel he always has the strength to give Kyle his nightly piggy back ride to bed..!
