Pictures From Maine

I realized this morning that I haven't posted many pictures to my blog this year.  Here are some photos - in random order -  from our recent trip to Maine:

 

Jim and I took the kids "hiking" at a local state park one morning.  While there were some long, challenging trails to choose from we opted to take the smallest, shortest trail - which was basically no different than taking a leisurely walk through the woods.  It made for a pleasant journey through a beautiful forest.

We spent a gorgeous afternoon at Sebec Lake.  When we first arrived Savannah kept running down to the lake to scoop water into her shovel - then she would attempt to run back to the picnic area with her little shovel full of water..but of course by the time she made her way back the shovel was empty again.  I finally convinced her to just take her pail down to the lake to fill with water, haha!

                             My newest nephew Andrew got lots of attention from all of is cousins!

                               The water at the lake was so crystal clear and clean - absolutely beautiful!

                                                                       Hiking Trip

I took this photo about an hour after we got on the road to head home to Rhode Island.  It was only 10A, but I guess the weeks events had caught up with everyone!  Savannah was the first to fall asleep...

We took this picture on Isabella's birthday.  She was tickled pink to have caught a cat fish in the pond.  Unfortunately the cat fish didn't survive very long, as Bella insisted on prying it's mouth open to shove bread into it....
