School Time!!

I find homeschooling to be so incredibly rewarding.  It's wonderful to watch my kids learn new things on a daily basis!  I work really hard to make sure that Kyle is working to the best of his potential.  The fact that he's allowed to work at his own pace makes this possible.  He doesn't feel like he's under any pressure and for the most part I'm able to make learning fun for him which means most of the time he doesn't even realize that he is learning!  One of the best feelings happens whenever I'm teaching Kyle and Isabella something that may be a little more challenging for them than usual and all of a sudden, after perhaps days of hard work, it clicks and they understand it.  It's like watching a little light bulb go off in their brains and I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment, not only for myself, but for them as well!

Kyle's writing has improved greatly over the past few months, mostly because I've finally drilled it into his head that rushing will only cause him to make more mistakes and also make his writing messy.  Now that he's learned to slow things down he is doing such a great job!!
I was getting some work ready for Kyle when Bella said "Bubba, too?" -- so I pulled out my trusty scissors, construction paper and glue sticks & set her up with her own school work!
She had so much fun matching the shapes on the paper!
Reading is one of Kyle's favorite subjects.  He reads every day, usually three or four times per day!
 Bella's first little art project:
She was so proud of her work!
I can't tell you how many people ask me, on a regular basis, how i'm able to take care of 3 kids and homeschool.  You know, it's really not that hard.  Infact, usually homeschooling is the easiest part of my day!  It sure beats changing diapers, potty training and dealing with toddler tantrums!
