I've been having strong cravings for greasy cheeseburgers lately. You know, the kind you get at McDonalds/Burger King/Wendy's? I have not given into this craving yet, for I'm afraid if I do there will be no turning back! When I was pregnant with Bella I craved cucumbers & not a day went by when I didn't give in to that craving. Greasy cheeseburgers vs. cucumbers. What a difference!! Not wise to give in to the craving...not wise at all.
I still have my Dr's appt lined up for early Monday morning but unfortunately it does not include an ultrasound appt. The receptionist messed up with the scheduling & so now the Dr needs to reorder the ultrasound. I'm so disappointed. I was really looking forward to seeing our little creation! Hopefully I'll get in for an ultrasound later in the week.
I'm having some minor issues with health insurance right now. They are requiring that I send them a "proof of pregnancy" note from my OBGYN in order for my pregnancy to be covered. I've never heard of anything so ridiculous before, but that's health insurance for you. I spent way too much of my day on the phone trying to do THEIR job. In the end, my current OBGYN's staff has assured me that when I go to my appt on Monday they will have the note ready for the health insurance company & any billing that occurs while health insurance is processing everything will be paid (retro-active) by insurance. What a relief!!!
In other news, I've made the difficult decision to change OBGYN's once my health insurance gets situated. I will keep my first few appts with my regular OBGYN before making the switch so as not to ruffle the insurance companies feathers anymore than they already seem to be right now!
I really love my OBGYN, Dr. Williams. Dr. Williams followed me thru my pregnancy with both of my kids & actually delivered Isabella himself. He is one of the nicest, kindest, most compassionate Dr's I've ever known. I'm sad to have to switch to someone else, but I feel as though I don't have a choice. Dr. Williams doesn't exactly have the best office staff. I'm now 10 weeks pregnant & I still haven't gotten in for my 1st exam because the staff keeps overbooking the Dr or messing up with the schedule. They've cancelled on me 3 times in as many weeks. It's becoming too stressful, seeing as how I have not only my job to take into consideration but also Jim's full-time job in addition to his part-time side jobs. Trying to juggle it all is very difficult. So I've decided to go with a newer Dr that is located much closer to our house - right over on the Wamp. Trail which is just minutes away from us. My neighbor (who is due with her 2nd) uses this Dr & really loves him. He delivers at the hospital of my choice (Woman & Infants), has flexible hours, lots of availability & can do blood work & ultrasounds in the office. While I'm nervous about switching Dr's I'm sure I will like this one just fine.
