What does it mean to be your Mama?

What does it mean to be your Mama?
It means:
~Eating breakfast, lunch & dinner while standing up. There's no point in sitting down because the second I do someone needs something that will require me to get back up!
~Having to wait until after 8p to take my shower (instead of first thing in the morning) because from the moment you both wake up until the moment you both go to sleep you keep me busy, busy, busy!
~Having to use Daddy's deoderant when mine ran out 3 days ago because I can't get out of the house to go shopping for more! Bella is at "that age" where she no longer wants to sit in a stroller or carriage, which makes shopping with her impossible.
~Having to do multiple loads of laundry each & every day
~Having to make 3 healthy meals every-single-day when I hate, hate, hate to cook!
~Having to read "Elmo's 1, 2, 3 Count With Me" book 1,000.000.000 per day because I don't have the heart to say "No" (ever) to Bella when she comes wobbly walking over to me with her most favorite book in hand, opens it up, points to the pictures & says "Dat? Dat? DAT!?!" Jim & I secretly discuss the possibility of "hiding" this book on her, but neither one of us have yet to follow through. Every single day, millions of times per day, she walks around the living room pushing past toys & other books to find this ONE particular book of hers for us to read to her.
~Having to set up paints, glitter, glue & other misc. arts & crafts items not minutes after having washed the floors because I can't refuse Kyle when he's in the mood to be creative.
~Having to give up 95% of my social life so I can stay home & raise both of you.
~Having to give up talking on the phone because the minute I go to dial a number or answer a call someone needs my immediate attention at that exact moment!
~Having to pick up a million toys & re-organize the house every single night
~Having to wash dishes & cups at least 5 times per day
What does it mean to be your Mama?:
It means:
~Hearing Kyle say "I love you" multiple times per day.
~Getting kisses from Bella (she says mmmmm when you ask her for a kiss)
~Snuggling with both of you.
~Watching you both learn new things on a daily basis.
~Never having to miss even one milestone because I'm with you almost all the time! I've heard your first words, seen your first steps. Day by day I watch you both grow up right before my eyes.
~Listening to Kyle read ME a book & knowing it was *me* who taught him how to read in the first place.
~Watching Bella "pretend" to be a mommy with her baby dolls
~Tucking you both in at the end of the night, giving bedtime kisses & knowing, without a doubt, that I must have done something right in my life to have been blessed with two wonderful, beautiful children.
So what does it mean to be your Mama? Well, it means I wouldn't want to be anyone else. I wouldn't trade being a Mama for anything & I'm so thankful, each & every day, that I'm YOUR Mama!
