The cabin we stayed in:
The view from the porch:
One of the most relaxing places to be:
Jim enjoyed a cat nap:
Elijah shared a quiet moment with his stuffed pals "Mo Mo" and "Giraffe":
Bella loved the lake:
Auntie Sandy & I managed to polish off this gallon of frozen lemonade & vodka in record time.. It sure was delicious!:
Auntie Sandy & Uncle Ed: (note how Auntie Sandy is wrapped up in a towel -- the temps were in the low 70's during the day, 60's at night with NO humidity!)
Bella spent lots of time at the lake:
Off for a walk, to Ed's Moms cabin in the woods:
Ed's father built this cabin from the ground up. Auntie Sandy & Kyle strike a pose:
At the end of the afternoon these two munchkins were very tired:
Our trip to the local grocery store: (yes, it's a grocery store. Milk - check, Eggs - check, Batteries - check, Diapers - check, A MILLION DEAD ANIMALS MOUNTED ALL OVER THE PLACE - check...)
3 Little Monkeys Sitting On The Floor:
One took off & headed for the door..:
Elijah & I played a game of "animal dominos":
Enjoying lunch outside:
Uncle Ed & Bella:
Daddy & Bella down by the lake:
Uncle Ed & Kyle:
Kyle decided to show Uncle Ed just how well he can swim:
Kyle (and Elijah) spent HOURS looking for frogs! Here is a picture of Jim trying to help Kyle catch one:
Auntie Sandy also tried to help catch a frog:
Finally..success!
Ut oh...those frogs sure do jump high & fast!:
No worries, though. This poor frog didn't stand a chance against a 6 yr old who had put in about 10 hours trying to hunt it down:
Some fun with Mr. Potato Head:
Cousin Elijah with Kyle - these two boys had THE BEST time playing together!!!
More fun with Dominos:
And more fun with the Potato Heads!:
Eli "helped" Kyle construct a car out of Lego's..:
I have to pause here to tell you all that Elijah is one of the cutest, most adorable, smartest 2 1/2 yr olds I've ever known!
And now..back to the Legos:
Daddy & Kyle go for a canoe ride:
