Some Pictures

Usually Jim shaves Kyle's head bald for the summer but this year Kyle requested a mohawk. It's only hair, afterall :)

Don't worry, Bella's not rocking a mohawk...yet!

Now that Bella has discovered the wonderful world of crawling she has become an exhausting little creature! I had to rearrange the entire living room - I had to find places to put all my plants & plant stands (which wasn't easy, given the size of our home!) - I put away all of the breakable items & replaced them with baby toys...baby toys which are EVERYWHERE when she is awake! Jim built a baby gate to confine her to the living room but still, she finds ways to get into trouble...
We have speakers mounted on the walls. Jim painted the wires to match the walls so you can hardly see them...however...Bella has spotted them. She squeezes behind things to get to plugs & outlets. She pushes past toys to get to the one thing that you don't want her to go near. My patience level is surprisingly high. Everything is so new to her at this stage, you know? She's simply exploring. She's curious. But boy, she's a handful! She screams & cries when you take something away from her -- and she is LOUD. Sometimes she makes me laugh when she has one of her screaming fits - she's so young to be doing these kinds of things! She acts like she's spoiled, but seeing as how she's just recently learned how to crawl & get around we haven't had a chance TO spoil her! It's not like we gave her cords & plugs to chew on when she was smaller! My little princess has a temper...something Kyle really didn't have. Sure, he would throw tantrums, but not until he was 2 1/2! Bella is 10 months! I hate to admit it, but she's my little trouble maker. When we say "No, Bella!" she smiles & sometimes will even laugh. Even still, I suppose I wouldn't want it any other way. She has her own unique personality, her own ways of thinking. And even while she's up to no good she's still the cutest thing ever!
A few weeks ago Nana came to visit. We took the kids to Friendly's. As usual, Kyle was on his best behavior. Miss Diva, on the other hand, proceeded to throw spoons, eat napkins & yell at the top of her lungs through out the entire meal. She wasn't being fussy, she was plenty happy. But loud. I've come to the conclusion that little girls are quite simply LOUD.
Here's a picture of Nana getting her ready for bed:

Sometimes (not often) me & Daddy need a little break from our precious little munchkins. One Saturday night Auntie Carole came to babysit for us so we could go out with some friends. She took this picture of us before we left for the night:

We went over to our friend Tamra's house to help celebrate her college graduation. When the mosquitos made their appearance we decided to move the celebration over to Cathay Pearl - a neat chinese restaurant that has live bands on Saturday night. Originally we said we'd only stay for an hour or so but once the band started playing the clock all but stopped! We had some drinks & danced the night away - it was a lot of fun!
