Our Fun-Filled Easter!

Dear Kyle & Isabella,

Our Easter was filled with lots of candy, laughter, good food, memories & family. What more could we ask for, right?
Isabella receives her very first Easter Basket..

Somehow the Easter Bunny knew exactly what to bring her - 3 new teething toys!

You were thrilled with these new toys!
Of course, you had to taste them all & try them out!

This rubber teething ball has become one of your most favorite toys - there's a little ball inside of it that makes noise when you rattle it - & you love it!

The Easter Bunny didn't forget about his favorite boy Kyle, either!

You were excited to see all of the goodies inside of your basket - two new Star Wars action figures & lots + lots of candy!

The Easter Bunny also left you a couple of plastic carrots filled with jelly beans! Yum!

By 8:00a the sugar had gone straight to your head.. little boys can be so silly!

Easter 2010

Isabella's First Easter 2010

One handsome boy on Easter..!

And one very happy little girl on Easter, too!

The Easter Bunny left some candy-filled eggs outside.. every year you find it harder & harder to locate the eggs..

Looks like the Easter Bunny found Daddy's Ugly Trailer..

It was hard work finding all those eggs!

After the egg hunt we all went out for breakfast! It's always nice to have someone else do the cooking!

Normally we don't take Isabella out to restaurants because she often cries when strangers talk/look at her. But we got lucky this time - the restaurant was practically empty! You were such a happy girl, Bella. We gave you a metal spoon & you played through out our entire meal!

After breakfast we went back home & chatted with Mr. Mike & Joan out in the yard. I did not have my camera handy, unfortunately! They spoiled the both of you with lots of Easter Surprises. Isabella received her first Easter Bunny that Joan put her personal touch on - she put ribbons in the bunny's hair & gave her pig tails! She also got the bunny a little purse to carry because as Joan says "every girl needs a purse!" Kyle received his first t-ball set (which we later played for HOURS while visiting Grampy!) & some great math/learning workbooks! Somehow Mr Mike & Joan always know exactly what to get you! Once again I'm reminded of when I was a very young girl & our neighbors, Dot & Dan Lyons. They were so much more than "just" neighbors to us. We would visit them several times per week - sometimes we'd do our homework at their house while other times we'd just go over to say hello. Dot always kept a jar of candy & cans of Coke (a real treat for us!) in her fridge. Joan & Mike remind so much of Dot & Dan - only instead of candy & soda they have cookies + milk ready for Kyle! They're always so thoughtful & as always we feel blessed to have them as our neighbors!
After our visit with Joan & Mike we headed over to Grampy's for some outdoor fun! The weather was absolute gorgeous - Bella had a blast just sitting outside!

Kyle also had fun playing with his new t-ball set (I think we ALL lost 5 pounds chasing after the ball!) & the pretend tool set the Easter Bunny left for him at Grampy's. Auntie Carole also gave him a bubble blower (which Daddy accidently broke before Kyle actually got to use it, but we won't get into that now..)

Auntie Carole spent some quality time with Bella before heading to the park with Kyle where they had a GREAT time sliding, swinging & just having fun!

Grampy cooked some burgers. Some BIG burgers. Quite possibly the biggest burger I've ever seen! Basically he made a burger, put some cheese in the middle & then topped it with another burger! They were delicious..!

By early evening we were ALL exhausted! What a fun filled Easter we had!!
