Mrs. Andrade is quite pleased with Kyle's progress & thinks that he will actually exceed the kindergarten requirements & expectations! She told us how she separates the children into two groups - those who are "beginners" at learning things such as letter recognition, basic math & reading get "easier" homework & then those who are more advanced in those skills get more challenging homework. Kyle falls into the advanced catagory! She said she has no concerns whatsoever that he will meet all kindergarten standards well before the end of the year.
As most of you already know, Jim & I have always worked hard teaching Kyle new things. He was just shy of two years old when he knew all of his letters & began writing words long before he turned four. Now, at the age of five, he's learning how to write in sentences & is doing basic math. He's taken a big interest in reading & can identify certain words on his own. It was nice to hear Mrs. Andrade say "Kyle came to me already knowing all of these things. You've done a great job, as parents, in making sure that he was well prepared & ready for Kindergarten". What parent doesn't enjoy hearing things like that? :)
Way to go, Kyle!!!

What an awesome report! I'm so proud of Kyle and all his hard work (and your hard work as his parents, too)! Glad things are working out well with kindergarten. I know you were a little uncertain at Open House time. Yay!!!!
I'm so glad that Kyle is doing well at school both academically & socially. Both you & Jim are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.
