Busy Times: Jim tackles the front (and final) part of the roof!

He's flying solo this time around - quite a project for one person but if anyone can do it, it's Jim!

It's been a physically demanding & exhausting week for Jim, to say the least. He's up on the roof from 8am-2:30p, then goes to work from 3:15p-12a.. the same schedule he had when he built the addition on the back of the house. But all of his hard work & dedication is paying off. The roof is looking great!! This is the LAST "big" project he'll be doing for a long, long time!
Fun Times & Busy Times..
At 5 weeks old Isabella learned how to roll over from her back to her belly. Now it's her most favorite thing to do for entertainment, usually! She sometimes gets frusterated & has a mini tantrum but for the most part she enjoys herself!
Fun Times: Jim teaching Isabella "patty cakes"..
I have a video of Kyle too, but for some reason it's not uploading properly. I'll work on that & post it when it becomes available. He continues to do well in school, which is great. His teacher sent us a slideshow of pictures from the first days of school which was pretty cute! She's also in the process of creating a classroom blog which she will update daily with information about what the children are currently learning & the progress they're making. As a blogger myself, I think this is a great way to keep parents "in the loop"! It really helps to keep the lines of communication open, which I believe is very important when it comes to school in general. Jim & I very much want to be involved in the kindergarten experience & if we left it up to Kyle to tell us what's going on we'd for sure be left in the dark!
Outside of school Kyle is dealing with some expected jealousy issues here at home. Isabella is proving to be a bit of a...demanding (for lack of a better word?) baby. Much of her awake time is spent fussing for no apparent reason - it's just how she is. As a result, Kyle has decided to become rather demanding himself. He spends altogether too much time "talking back" to us & pouting over every little thing that doesn't go his way. Hopefully we're handling it properly, by disciplining him when necessary while being sensitive to his needs. It's a delicate balance, in my opinion! He's used to being the center of attention & now he has to share that attention. It's tough. But we're getting thru it, one day at a time :)

I'll bet it's hard for any child to share the attention, especially after having been an "only" for so many year. But I'm sure you and Jim and doing a great job figuring out how to balance everything out. I love the videos- Isabella is thriving! She's so sweet (but haha I don't see her during her "many" witching hours!!!)
