Our First Parent/Teacher Conference
Yesterday we met with Mrs. Brown, Kyle's nursery school teacher, for our very first "parent/teacher conference". She informed us that Kyle is doing excellent in class! He continues to participate in all of the activites & listens well to directions. He gets along great with all of the children. He has lots of friends! While he still has some minor sharing issues, it's all completely age appropriate. Mostly he likes to be the boss (gee, wonder which parent he gets that quality from? haha!). He likes to "be in charge". Mrs. Brown also told us that Kyle is incredibly creative & loves to engage in imaginative play. Despite being one of the youngest in the class he continues to excel academically. He is now writing on a daily basis, starting to form small 3 word sentences. He also enjoys doing arts & crafts. He loves to cut out shapes using scissors & is really doing excellent with his fine motor skills. Overall Mrs. Brown said that he has adjusted well & is a joy to have in class :) We're so proud of him! It's really amazing to see the transformation in him socially. He's no longer the follower, but the leader. He's outgoing & full of personality. Nursery School has proven to be a great first experience for him & we feel confident that he will be more than ready to head off to Kindergarten next Sept. We can only hope that in Kindergarten he gets a teacher as warm & as caring as Mrs. Brown!!
