Kyle decided to be Spiderman for Halloween this year:
Here he is with Nana! Jim thought it would be a great idea to buy him some "Silly String" -- as you can see from the expression on Nana's face, it looks like she is worried about where he is going to aim that can!!

By now I'm sure Nana & Papa Joe have discovered their "colorful" backyard decorated in...."silly string"!!
We went Trick Or Treating with our good friends Colleen, Kael & Braeden!

Pictured above is Braeden -one of the cutest race car drivers ever!! His brother Kael was also an adorable race car driver however for some unknown reason almost every single photo taken of him came out either too blurry or too dark!!

After hitting two blocks worth of houses Braeden ran out of energy (temporarily). Good thing for him, his mommy is a personal trainer so she had no trouble at all keeping up with everyone, with a little guy on her back!
The boys

Afterwards Colleen invited us back to her house for a little Halloween get together! The boys had so much fun playing together! They raced around the house (quite literally) chasing after pretend dragons & catching "the bad guys". I really love this particular age - where their imaginations are always taking over!

Kael & Kyle playing "tow truck/ambulance drivers"

Kyle hit the jackpot (in his opinion) when he discovered some bright orange cones & a few paper knight masks!

In this picture Kyle told me he was strapped into his car, at the starting line of the race, waiting to crash thru the cones.

Here he is with Braeden, getting ready for their big race!

Here's Braeden with his "bad guy" glow stick!

Colleen made the most delicious cupcakes in her "spare time" -- here's Kyle fully enjoying his!!

Here's Kael enjoying his cupcake!

And here's Braeden, anxiously awaiting the arrival of his cupcake!!

Jim thought it'd be wise to supervise the kids seeing as how the table was covered with cupcakes, pizza and cookies!

A special thanks goes out to Colleen, for helping to make our Halloween so special & memorable! She put together a "special" halloween treat bag full of all sorts of neat things for Kyle (including some glow-sticks, playdough & stickers!). She allowed the boys to have SO much fun - racing & screaming through her entire house. One of the biggest reasons I've become such good friends with her is because she shares in my philosophy when it comes to kids: Let them be little cuz they're only that way for a while! Let them make noise, let them make a mess, let them have fun. Someday we will miss all of the craziness that they bring into our lives! Someday we might even miss the 2:00am requests to "tuck me in", the constant clean-ups in the bathroom, the fingerprints on virtually every single thing in the house. We might miss stepping on matchbox cars in the shower, finding something that might have been milk at one time in a cup behind the couch -- after it's been there for god knows how long. The time will come, soon enough, when our little ones don't want to hold our hands anymore while walking to school. When it's so NOT cool to kiss your mom goodbye! When we're not needed even half as much as we are now. But we'll always know that when our children look back on their childhoods they will say "wow, we had such a fun time growing up!!" And really, isn't that was being a parent is all about?

Love, momsie
WHAT an awesome Halloween! It just looks like all the boys had soooo much fun! And Colleen sounds like a great friend and a great mommy.
Kyle makes a cute "Spidey".
Our first Halloween? NOT SO GREAT.
Spent the late afternoon on Friday at Dr. Nasca's, where Elijah was diagnosed with walking pneumonia and a middle ear infection to boot!
Spent the early evening waiting forever at Rite Aid for the antibiotic prescription to be ready, only for ther pharmacist to tell us that he only had a 100ml bottle, not the 150ml bottle. (So yay! I get to drive all the way back there to pick up the rest of the prescription tomorrow!)
Didn't get home until almost 7:30, and we were all starving and very grumpy. I guess I'll have to find someone who wants the adorable bumblebee costume for next year!
On a happy note, E is feeling so much better today. The antibiotics must be working already and it's only been a couple of days!
Thanks for the pics- I feel like I was right there trick-or-treating with you guys!
xoxo
