Jim was able to get a GREAT deal on the roofing shingles. We paid $12 per bundle. Regular price is $35!! After the bundles were already stacked in the driveway we decided it'd be better to put them in the back of the yard with a piece of tarp over them, since they won't be needed until after the winter months. So then came the question of how to transport these very heavy ( approx 75-100 lbs) bundles. I assumed we would just call Home Depot to find out what it would cost to rent a fork lift. Jim, on the other hand, decided to use our own resources...
A few months ago his co-worker gave him a broken down tractor. Jim said he would fix it up and use it to race around the yard with Kyle. Lovely. Well, the tractor sat in the yard with deflated tires and a motor that sometimes would work, but more often would not. I was constantly on Jim to junk the thing.
You can imagine my surprise when I woke up on Saturday morning to hear this very loud noise coming from the yard. I looked out the window and was absolutely amazed (and a little nervous) about what I saw...
