Standing Strong & Birthday Celebrations!

This handsome boy is getting stronger by the second!  In less than 2 weeks he went from crawling, to pulling himself up on things, to standing strong on his own:

But, best of all!, he is finally sleeping
through the night - HOORAY!!!!!!!!!
Since returning from our vacation he
has been taking 2 solid naps per day and
then sleeping at night from around 8P until 6A!

Now that I'm getting better sleep I'm able to function a whole lot better during the day.  I've even started exercising again!  Although I absolutely hate jogging I hit the pavement 5 times last week.  I'm really out of shape and therefore can only jog about 1/2 of the way BUT I am feeling confident and motivated that I'll be able to make it the whole way without stopping within a few weeks - as long as I keep up the pace I'm at now.

I celebrated my birthday on Saturday.  The kids presented me with super cute handmade cards and a lovely shoe/boot rack - which looks much better than the "shoe box" I had for everyone!  Of course Sebastian loves pulling all of the shoes off of the rack but eventually he'll get bored of playing that new game and will cause trouble elsewhere!  Jim got me a pair of Bluetooth headphones to use when I'm out walking and jogging.  We had a picnic lunch at Sabin Point Park and then splurged on Chinese food for dinner; it was a really nice day!
Jim's birthday is on Thursday but because he is working we will celebrate it on Friday.  I am planning on making him a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake..hopefully it will come out good!  I've been trying out a lot of new recipes lately and so far all of them have come out GREAT!  I even bought myself a springform cake pan today!!
