Today our sweet, funny, strong-willed, free-spirited Isabella will turn 4 years old! I can't believe that 4 years have passed since we were blessed with our 1st daughter - I feel like she's grown up overnight!
One of the (many) things that I love the most about Bella is that she has the ability to make us smile & laugh on a constant basis. For a little girl she has an incredibly huge personality that is full of so many different aspects; it's comical, colorful & expressive and is surrounded by innocence.
Over the past 6 months or so her language & speech skills have exploded, along with her imagination. She is absolutely passionate about animals & often pretends to be a dog, requesting that we call her "calmation" (dalmation) or "Black Labrador". She attaches Delila's leash to herself & crawls around the floor, barking & pretending to lick/clean herself. She spends hours playing with her toy animals & loves to hunt for bugs when we're outside - especially worms!
When she's not playing she can be found looking through huge piles of books. She loves listening to stories & there's no doubt that once she learns how to read she'll be a bookworm just like her big brother!
This summer Bella learned how to keep her head above water in the pool & no longer uses a lifejacket. I wouldn't actually say that she's swimming, but she can do the 'doggy paddle' which is enough to keep her afloat. She loves being in the water & genuinely enjoys being outside in general.
Recently she started doing some minor preschool work. I'm trying to teach her how to identify letters & write her name. She can be pretty stubborn at times but for the most part she's doing well. She has a great attention span, which helps.
Her downfalls: She tends to scream super loud when things don't go exactly as she wants them to and she's an incredibly picky eater.
But she's a great kid - our lives would be way too quiet & dull without her around!!!
