Birthday Wishes

Many thanks to everyone for all of the great Birthday Wishes!!  I'm having a wonderful day!  This morning Jim took me shopping (with Mike & the kids) for our new kitchen counter-top, sink, faucet & fixtures.  We've decided to just re-face the cabinets, versus replacing them.  With some fresh paint & new hardware they'll be looking brand new in no time!  Jim is going to build the microwave into the wall, which will give me more counter space.  I'm really looking forward to seeing my "new" kitchen!  None of this would even be possible without Jim & his "handy man" expertise.  Many, many, many thanks go out to him!  He has a bazillion jobs going on right now doing work for others, yet he's still managing to find the time to tackle our kitchen because he knows how happy it will make me to finally have a kitchen function like a ............KITCHEN!  hahah!

After shopping we went out for lunch.  I made the rookie mistake of leaving the table (to take Bella to the bathroom) which enabled the guys to order a "birthday surprise" for me.  Minutes before we were getting ready to leave the entire restaurant came over to our table, clapping & singing Happy Birthday while holding a huge ice cream sundae!  Poor Savannah looked like a deer caught in the headlights..completely frozen with fear over the incredible noise level brought on by the lovely waiters & staff of the restaurant.  Fun times, people.  Fun times!  Lunch was delicious, though..!

When we arrived home Jim presented me with a musical card that sings "If I Had A Million Dollars.." & in the inside he wrote "I'd buy you a new kitchen!".  Hahaha!  Suffice to say, while we don't have anything close to a Million Dollars, he is infact giving me a new, custom kitchen!  It may not be the most expensive kitchen, nor the most glamorous, but it's going to be beautiful & practical...which is exactly what I want!

After Jim had left for work the doorbell rang & I was presented with a gorgeous vase full of beautiful, brightly colored flowers given to me by my lovely sister Carole!  They look so pretty sitting on my kitchen table!!  (Thanks again for the kitchen table, Mike & Joan!!)

I also received a gift card to my most favorite place on Earth to shop (Kohls) from my Mother & Father In-Law - Thanks for that!

All in all it has been a perfect Birthday.  As always, I am blessed.
