Today I went for my fourth ultrasound appointment. When your first baby is born with a serious heart complication all precautions are taken when the second baby is conceived! We met with the cardiologist at the Prenatal Diagnostics Center in Providence. Through the miracle of technology he was able to perform an echocardiogram on the baby & get a thorough, indepth look at the heart. Within 15 minutes he confidently told us that the baby has a "perfect" heart. All 4 chambers are functioning properly & there are no defects to be seen! What a relief!!!! No more testing = no more stress! YaY!
The technician also joined in on the fun & gave us another sneak peek at the baby. Yet again our baby decided to spread her legs wide open for the camera, proving that she is 100% female! The tech gave us 4 pictures but unfortunately none of them are worth posting. Isabella decided to flip onto her side, exposing her back & bum to us for 3 of the 4 pictures & the 4th picture is just proof that she's a female :)
But the important thing is that she is doing wonderfully - she moves around quite a bit now & has strong kicks/punches for all to feel! Several times I've noticed my stomach "jumping" - quite a sight! All of the measurements are perfect & in coordination with the due date.
Jim, Kyle & I are SO looking forward to her arrival in just 19 more weeks!
In other news, we received the fire dept, building & electrical permit last week so construction has officially begun on our house. Jim & Kyle ripped apart some of the walls in the playroom yesterday. (will post pictures of that later) We ordered the new windows for the addition which should arrive in about 2 weeks & Jim has been purchasing the necessary tools & supplies on a daily basis. Our goal is to have the kids bedrooms completely finished by July. It will certainly be a project! Kyle's room now will become Isabella's - which means it needs a whole new paint job, but other than that it should be easy enough to decorate! I can't wait to get started!
