I remember when I first met Jim I was so, so, so happy to receive the sentimental gifts he would get me. A cute stuffed animal. A home cooked meal for Valentines Day. A Kit Kat candy bar (my favorite) . He bought me jewerly. He bought us tickets to see a play. Nothing could've made me happier. At the time, those very things were "important" to me.
But then life changed...
Fast Forward to January, 2009
My Christmas Gift has finally arrived.
It is the greatest gift ever! I am absolutely, without a doubt, estatic over it!!
For the first time ever in my life, I actually became quite excited over receiving...
A BRAND NEW FRONT LOADER WASHER AND DRYER!!!!
Introducing my Pride and Joy....
And what's even more great is the fact that Kyle LOVES doing the laundry now!! He literally jumps up and down when I tell him its "laundry day"..
Jim was going to build a platform to put the machines on, to raise them up so I wouldn't have to bend down so low. But then I quickly realized that Kyle is at the perfect height to reach everything!!
Not only can he load and unload, but he also know's which buttons to hit to get the machines going..
Which means all I have to do is add the laundry soap!!
Needless to say, these new machines are awesome!! It's amazing how far technology has come. The machines are digital. When you load the washer, it beeps to tell you when it's "full". When you load the dryer, it adjusts the temperature and time automatically. So when the load is dry, the dryer automatically shuts off. Talk about being efficient!! Not to mention the fact that the washer only takes about 3 tbsp. of laundry soap!
I'm in heaven :)

it is truly amazing how the things that make us happy change over time- Enjoy your new toys- am sure they will be very efficient with electricity etc.

That's it...I'm saving all my laundry until I have no clothes to wear then I'm coming down to your house to so Kyle can wash & dry my clothes.

Haha your post is so cute. I wonder how much it will cost me to ship my weekly dirty laundry down to Kyle and have the clean stuff shipped back...
you truly have a great husband but then again since he is my son i wouldnt expect any less i already know that he is great
