Thanksgiving 08 "Part 2"

We took lots of pictures on Thanksgiving...

Jim & Delila wanted to be well rested for their big day of eating...

Kyle and Sampson waiting for Jim to wake up...

Here's Elijah taking some steps towards Grampy! He's very proud of himself!

Jim and my sister Leslee

Elijah - checking to see if anyone is looking before he attempts to climb on that chair!

"The Cousins" Brandon, Elijah, Kyle and Sarah
(you all have NO IDEA how hard it was to get these munchkins
to sit still for 2 seconds!)

Elijah showing us his new teeth!

Grampy "trying" to feed Eli...

What's so funny?! Eli and his mommy, my sister Sandy

Brandon

Sandy, Eli and Leslee

Jim and Carole

Sarah

Me, Eli and Leslee (before I got my haircut, obviously!)

Leslee and Elijah

Here is Jim trying to teach Eli how to give "fives"

And here is Jim again, this time in deep discussions with Eli..
Probably over Cars!

Sandy playing "referee" between Eli and Kyle!

Kyle & Elijah playing with some blocks

Grampy and Kyle

Jim..waiting patiently before devouring the chocolate/cream cheese/coffee dessert in front
of him!

Kyle and Jim watching the Cowboys game..

Kyle and Eli

Our good friend Danny..getting ready to try Moose meat for the very first time..

Going for the first bite...

He agreed with everyone else who had tried it - it tasted like sausage & was
very good. I will take their word for it!

Here is Dad and Jim trying to get the turkey out of the
cooking pan. It was quite a turkey!

Gotta love the beer can in the background..!

Dad spent all day taking care of this turkey..he was very proud of it!

Lynn and Leslee

Just passing time til the turkey is ready
Carole

Dinner time!
This is what Thanksgiving is all about - one big happy family!
"The Daughters" - Leslee, Sandy, Me and Carole
"The Cousins" - Brandon, Sarah, Kyle and Elijah
"The Keeper Of Them All!!" - Dad/Grampy

We may not have the big fancy houses, or the expensive cars. We may not have designer clothes, or name-brand sneakers on our children. But we certainly have each other and we couldn't ask for more than that.. for money only buys temporary happiness. Family is forever and that's something that you can't put a price on. In my eyes we are incredibly rich. Rich in love. Who could ask for more?
